Phillip Island Australian native animal Tour: Summer itinerary from October to March

10-10:30 am Free Pick up from Melbourne

12-1pm Maru Koala Park - Pat a koala, hand feed albino kangaroos, View wombat, view Dingo’s, talk to the parrots, meet a golden possum and view a three meter Python snake. It’s all possible at Maru where you can ‘Get in touch with wildlife’. Meet a range of our native animals and enjoy guided tours right inside the koala enclosure. Learn about our Wildlife Shelter and enjoy regular talks given by Maru Koala Park animal keepers that let you learn about the animals as you interact with them. Bring your camera to make the most of ample photo opportunities or take home a professional photo of you with one of Maru's animals as a special souvenir.

1:25-2pm Lunch time at Carmie's Kitchen San Remo This family owned and operated restaurant is our lunchtime destination and its situated right near the water. Variety of food to choose from freshly made and something to suit all dietary and religion requirements. After you order your lunch, we recommend to go for a walk take photos of the nearby coastal waters, our drivers will contact you when lunch is ready.

2:05-4pm Churchill Island Heritage farm - Step back in time, meet the farm animals, relax in the cafe, enjoy the water views, stroll amongst heritage buildings and lovely gardens. See Working dogs demonstration, Sheep sheering, cow milking, blacksmith, boomerang throwing and whip cracking.

4:05-4:35 pm Panny chocolate factory taste free samples and buy yummy local chocolate

5-6:30pm Sightseeing around Phillip Island and Township of Cowes - We drive close to the Famous Phillip Island Racetrack home of the formula one motogp held each October, Free time to go shopping, browse around the local culture, local beaches, local pier try the local Icecream or coffee as we give you plenty of time there will be something for everyone here.

6:50-7:40pm Nobbies sightseeing wildlife reserve - Great area to see local wildlife and beautiful scenery

7:45-until Penguins arrive. The Penguin Parade one of Australia’s most popular wildlife attractions. Every sunset, wild little penguins emerge from the sea and waddle across the beach to their sand dune burrows. Phillip Island is home to one of the largest little penguin colonies in the world. The little penguin is the world’s smallest penguin species and the only penguin permanently found in Australia.

Return to Melbourne Between 11-11:30pm

Facts: Phillip Island is 26 kms long and 9 kms wide, has population of only 7000 people, 4.4 million people visit Phillip Island each year. Penguins can eat up to 40 percent of their body weight and grow up to 33 cm tall. Kangaroos, wallaby's and koalas are only pregnant for one month
